Experience
I started tutoring junior high students when I was in my senior year in high school, through an FNMI (First Nation, Metis, Inuit) learning project that the vice principle was organizing. After observing noticeable improvements in the students’ marks, the vice principle offered me a fulltime position for the next year. Over that duration I was the tutor program coordinator, along with an educational assistant. I acquired certain leadership and communication skills over this time. Along with the fulltime position, I was tutoring a man in high school math concepts, and a student who was currently in physics 30. I enjoy working one on one with students to help them understand concepts better, along with getting to know the individuals to gain a positive relationship with them. I especially have a passion for mathematics and would be eager at the opportunity to assist individuals in this subject.
